aespa Good Morning America September 2025: Jennifer Hudson Show and Rich Man Album Success

K-pop group aespa is making major moves in the US market this month. The quartet will perform on ABC's "Good Morning America" on September 12, 2025, and will also appear on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," though Fox hasn't announced the air date yet.
Million-Seller Success Drives US Push
aespa's September 12 Good Morning America performance comes just a week after releasing their sixth mini-album "Rich Man" on September 5. The album recorded 1.11 million pre-orders and became their seventh consecutive million-seller.
The album topped iTunes charts in 14 regions and dominated Chinese music platforms including QQ Music and KuGou Music. These numbers reflect aespa's growing international fanbase, particularly in key markets like the United States.
Capitol Music Group Partnership Signals US Focus
The TV appearances mark the beginning of aespa's partnership with Capitol Music Group. Tom March, Chairman & CEO of Capitol Music Group, said: "We are thrilled to welcome aespa to the Capitol Music Group family and to work alongside our incredible partners at SM Entertainment".
This partnership gives aespa access to Capitol's extensive US distribution network and promotional resources. The timing aligns perfectly with their current promotional cycle for "Rich Man."
What "Rich Man" Represents
The album's title track samples Cher's famous 1996 quote about being a "rich man," but aespa reframes wealth as self-confidence rather than material possessions. As member Karina explained: "I'm already a rich man because I trust and love myself".
The group explored different genres across the six tracks, with Winter noting: "From hip-hop to R&B to pop, all speak to [us as a group]. There isn't any single genre that speaks to aespa".
Asia Tour Continues Through 2025
While focusing on US promotion, aespa will continue their "SYNK: aeXIS LINE" tour across Asia with dates in Fukuoka (October 4-5), Tokyo (October 11-12 and November 8-9), Aichi (October 18-19), Bangkok (November 15-16), and Osaka (November 26-27).
The tour kicked off with three sold-out Seoul shows from August 29-31 at KSPO Dome, where fans got early previews of "Rich Man" tracks.
Building on 2025 Momentum
This year has been significant for aespa, including headlining Morocco's Mawazine festival and winning Billboard's Women in Music "Group of the Year" award. Their US television appearances represent the next phase of their global expansion strategy.
"Good Morning America" airs weekdays at 7 a.m. local time (8 p.m. KST) on ABC. The performance will showcase "Rich Man" to millions of American viewers, potentially introducing aespa to new audiences beyond their existing K-pop fanbase.
