BTS Jin Breaks Records in 2025: Streaming Milestone, Historic Tour Revenue, and Chart Domination

BTS member Jin has emerged as one of 2025's most successful solo artists, achieving unprecedented milestones across streaming platforms, global tours, and music charts that cement his position as a leading force in K-pop.
Spotify Success and Streaming Records
Jin's "Don't Say You Love Me," the title track from his second solo album "Echo" (released May 16, 2025), surpassed 500 million streams on Spotify by late September 2025. The song made history as the first track by an Asian artist to reach number one on Spotify's Global Top Songs chart in 2025, achieving this feat on May 25.
The track dominated Japan's Spotify chart for 58 consecutive days, breaking the previous record held by BLACKPINK's Rosé. "Don't Say You Love Me" also became the first and only 2025 release to spend 90 days in Spotify's Global Top 10, demonstrating remarkable longevity.
Chart Performance and Album Success
"Echo" debuted at number three on the Billboard 200-Jin's highest solo ranking-with 43,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week. The album topped Billboard's World Albums chart and maintained chart presence for over 18 weeks, establishing itself as the longest-charting K-pop solo album of 2025.
Jin now holds seven number-one songs on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, more than any other solo artist. He also leads 2025 K-pop solo artists in pure album sales in the United States.
The seven-track album showcases Jin's artistic evolution, blending pop rock, Brit rock, and alternative rock. Jin co-wrote four tracks, collaborating with producers including Pdogg, Digital Farm Animals, and Radwimps' Yojiro Noda.
Record-Shattering World Tour
Jin's debut solo tour, "#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR," spanned June 28 to August 10, 2025, with 18 shows across nine cities in Asia, North America, and Europe. The tour shattered multiple records:
Billboard Top Tours Performance:
- Ranked ninth in July 2025 with $32.5 million revenue and 217,000 attendees-the highest-ever achievement for an Asian solo artist
- Re-entered at number 24 in August from just four European shows (London and Amsterdam), grossing $11.5 million with 50,700 attendees
- Set the European tour revenue record for a Korean solo artist
Pollstar Recognition: Jin ranked 14th on Pollstar's Global Concert Tours Top 20 with an average gross of $2.745 million per city-the highest ranking for any Asian artist and the only Asian solo artist on the list.
Venue Records: His two-night stand at Osaka's Kyocera Dome generated $9.6 million, setting the all-time single-venue box office record for a K-pop solo artist. The venue sold out completely, including rarely opened eighth-floor sections and limited-view seats.
Critical Acclaim
Rolling Stone UK awarded the tour five stars, praising Jin as "a rare performer whose live vocals match his emotional depth." Forbes highlighted his "stable upper-register delivery," while Paris Match called him "the complete package."
Encore Performances
Responding to overwhelming demand, Jin announced encore concerts at Incheon Munhak Main Stadium (capacity: 50,000) on October 31 and November 1, 2025. Both shows will be livestreamed globally via Weverse. Membership presales begin October 20 at 8 PM KST, with general sales opening October 21 at the same time.
Jin's 2025 achievements demonstrate his evolution from BTS member to global solo superstar, setting new standards for K-pop artists on the international stage.
