Rosé Takes Crown as 2025's Most Beautiful Face in TC Candler Rankings
BLACKPINK's Rosé has secured the number one position on TC Candler's prestigious "100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2025" list, becoming the second member of her group to achieve this honor.
Released on December 28, the annual beauty rankings showcased strong K-pop representation, with Korean artists dominating multiple spots in the top tier. Rosé follows in the footsteps of fellow BLACKPINK member Lisa, who claimed the top position in 2021.
K-pop Artists Sweep Top Rankings
The 2025 list highlighted K-pop's global influence with impressive placements across the board. aespa's Karina landed at eighth place, while BLACKPINK's Jisoo secured 11th. Additional Korean stars in the rankings included TWICE's Tzuyu (20th), BLACKPINK's Lisa (22nd), Jeon Somi (24th), and IVE's Jang Wonyoung (26th).
This strong showing reflects the growing international recognition of K-pop visuals and the genre's expanding cultural reach beyond traditional music markets.
BTS's V Leads Male Rankings Among Korean Stars
In the male category, BTS's V achieved the highest Korean placement at seventh. The idol has maintained consistent appearances on TC Candler's lists since his groundbreaking 2017 victory when he became the first Asian man to top the "Most Handsome Faces" rankings.
Other Korean male artists featured in 2025 include ENHYPEN's Ni-ki (10th), BTS's Jungkook (14th), and Stray Kids' Hyunjin (18th). Chinese actor Zhang Zhehan claimed first place in the male category.
Three Decades of Beauty Rankings
Since launching in 1990, TC Candler and The Independent Critics have curated annual lists recognizing beauty across global entertainment. The organization selects from hundreds of thousands of celebrities worldwide, emphasizing that their rankings extend beyond popularity contests.
Selection criteria include aesthetic appeal, grace, elegance, originality, passion, and cultural impact-factors that contribute to a comprehensive definition of beauty.
Historic K-pop Wins
After School's Nana made history as the first K-pop idol to reach number one, winning consecutively in 2014 and 2015-a feat unmatched by any other artist. TWICE's Tzuyu earned the top spot in 2019, while MOMOLAND's Nancy claimed first place in 2023.
BLACKPINK maintains a particularly strong legacy on these lists. In the 2024 rankings, Jisoo placed second, while Nancy ranked fifth. Rosé's 2025 victory continues the group's tradition of excellence in global beauty recognition.
