BLACKPINK Goes Full Black in Final Group Poster for 'DEADLINE' — Mini Album Drops February 27, 2026
Seven days out from their comeback, BLACKPINK dropped one more visual curveball. On February 19, YG Entertainment posted the "DEADLINE ver." group poster for the quartet's third mini album - and it lands differently than anything fans have seen so far in this campaign.
Where the earlier "Statue ver." leaned into sculptural elegance and the "Red Light ver." went dramatic and high-contrast, this one keeps things stripped back. All four members - Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa - are dressed head-to-toe in black, the outfits built around cutout details and clean lines rather than any overt glamour. Each member's hairstyle stays distinct, but together they read as a unit in a way the solo-focused posters didn't. It's controlled, intentional, and deliberately quieter than what came before.
That contrast appears to be the point. The three poster series have each delivered a different register - sculptural, saturated, monochrome - and the progression now feels less like routine promo and more like a coherent visual argument for what the album might sound like. Fans have been picking it apart accordingly.
DEADLINE arrives February 27 at 2 p.m. KST with five tracks: pre-release single "JUMP," lead track "GO," and three additional songs - "Me and my," "Champion," and "Fxxxboy." "JUMP," out since July 2025, debuted at number one on the Billboard Global 200 and number 28 on the US Hot 100 - the group's tenth entry on that chart. YG has described the album as capturing "irreversible, defining moments" and the group at its brightest right now.
It's the first group release since Born Pink in 2022, and it follows a world tour that ended in January after 33 shows across 16 cities, including a landmark headline slot at London's Wembley Stadium - the first K-pop girl group to play there.
Around the release, BLACKPINK is collaborating with the National Museum of Korea on an event running February 26 through March 8. Spotify is backing the partnership, which includes pink exterior lighting on the museum building each night, a full-album listening zone inside, and individual audio guides recorded by each member - Jisoo and Jennie in Korean, Rosé in English, Lisa in Thai - for eight selected artifacts. Pre-release listening sessions on February 26 sold out immediately; post-release sessions from February 27 are open to all.
