IVE didn't just come back - they rewrote the record books.

Less than 24 hours after releasing their second studio album REVIVE+ on February 23, the group's pre-release single "BANG BANG" achieved a Perfect All-Kill at 1:30 PM KST on February 24, sweeping No. 1 across every major Korean music chart simultaneously. It's the first PAK of 2026 - and the sixth of IVE's career, making them the first girl group in K-pop history to pull off the feat with six different songs. The only other acts to match the number are IU and BIGBANG. IVE also holds the record for reaching six PAKs faster than any artist ever.

By 8 AM that same morning, the album had already taken No. 1 on all five major domestic streaming platforms - Melon, Bugs, Genie, FLO, and VIBE - at the same time. Every track on the record, including six member solo songs, charted on Melon's HOT100. Lead single "BLACKHOLE" topped YouTube Korea's music video trending chart by 1 PM.

What's on the Album

REVIVE+ is a 12-track project with dual title tracks. "BANG BANG," the Western swing-meets-EDM pre-release that dropped February 9, carries a message about staying grounded in the face of rumor and outside noise. The lead single "BLACKHOLE" goes cinematic - big sound, synchronized ensemble choreography, and imagery drawn from the idea that destruction and creation are two sides of the same event. Together the two tracks frame an album that's deliberately wider in scope than anything IVE has released before.

Six group tracks round out the first half: "Hush," "Stuck In Your Head," "Fireworks," and "HOT COFFEE" sit alongside the title tracks. The back half belongs to the members individually. All six solo songs - Wonyoung's "8," Gaeul's "Odd," Leeseo's "Super ICY," Liz's "Unreal," Rei's "In Your Heart," and Yujin's "Force" - were first performed live during the group's second world tour Show What I Am in October 2025 and are now officially released.

A Group Grown Up

IVE debuted in December 2021 with "Eleven." With Leeseo turning 20 this year, every member is now a legal adult, and REVIVE+ reflects that shift. The group has spent their career building an identity around self-confidence and individual self-love - what they call the "I" concept. This album pivots toward something broader.

"The message we held with our previous songs leaned more toward the idea of me, self-confidence, self-love and subjectivity," Liz said at the February 23 showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul. "But with this album, we wanted to expand that message to focus on us." Wonyoung added that the expansion is meant to reach beyond the members themselves - to include listeners who have grown alongside the group over the past four years.

An Yujin credited the long preparation process with forcing the group to think hard about what IVE actually means to them. "New challenges, a new start - we talked through a lot of it together," she said. "We are a great source of strength just by existing."

The album title carries the same idea. REVIVE+ means reigniting rather than relighting - not recovering something lost, but pushing an existing flame further and wider.

The Numbers Behind the Comeback

IVE's track record heading into this release was already exceptional. The group has achieved million-seller status on seven consecutive albums, sold over 12 million copies worldwide as of September 2025, and accumulated more than 70 music show wins since debut. In early 2026, the IFPI confirmed two IVE albums placed on its Global Album Sales Chart for 2025: IVE EMPATHY at No. 9 and IVE SECRET at No. 20, making IVE the only girl group in the Top 10 and their third consecutive year on the chart.

"BANG BANG" had already demonstrated global pull before the album dropped, charting in 26 iTunes markets in total - Top 10 on the K-pop Songs chart in 23 countries, and Top Songs overall in 18.

For a group whose staying power has occasionally been questioned between releases, the numbers on February 24, 2026 provided a definitive answer.
