People's Party Representative Ahn Cheol-soo and Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon recently came to an agreement --- to oust President Park. These two heavyweights agreed to work together to oust Park right after their meeting on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. This is following President Park's plan on handing over the reins of the Cabinet to the prime minister. Park asked the opposition-controlled National Assembly last Tuesday, November 8, to recommend a candidate for prime minister so she can hand over the reins to him.

A 40-year-old man who climbed a bridge tower in Busan in an anti-Presidential protest was arrested Saturday morning. He climbed a tower suspending the cables of the Gwangan suspension bridge in Busan at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, to express his protest against President Park Geun-hye. He said he's not contented with Park's second apologetic speech on Friday regarding the whole Choi Soon-sil scandal. The man climbed the bridge tower hoping for his frustrations to be heard.

For the next couple of weeks, nonstop protests asking President Park to step down from her office is expected to occur. The protesters gathered at Cheonggye Plaza, Seoul, last Saturday evening, October 29, with signs that say "Park Geun-hye Resign". This protest is said to be staged every 7PM until November 12. This is in connection with the political whirlwind that is happening in South Korea for the past weeks involving President Park Geun-hye and her confidant, Choi Soon-sil.

Lonely Planet released a list that enumerates the Top 10 Cities to Visit in 2017 and Seoul was included in the list. The world's travel website publisher backed up its decision to include the capital city of South Korea on the list by stating “For over a decade, Seoul has been striving to become a greener, more attractive and user-friendly metropolis.” Seoul is also the lone Asian city that made the list, an article from Korea JoongAng Daily reported.
