BigHit Music's CORTIS Release Los Angeles Performance Film for "GO!" - Self-Choreographed Debut Preview

BigHit Music's upcoming boy group CORTIS dropped a striking conceptual performance film for their pre-debut track "GO!" on August 12, showcasing the members' direct involvement in choreography creation. The film was released through HYBE Labels' YouTube channel following their official music video debut on August 11.
Shot entirely in Los Angeles, the performance film captures CORTIS dancing across urban landscapes including busy intersections and public transit. The one-take cinematography style follows the five members-Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho-as they interact naturally with their surroundings, greeting passersby and incorporating everyday scenarios into their performance.
The choreography credits list CORTIS members alongside professional choreographers REMY and MUN HYUN, highlighting the group's hands-on creative approach. Each member contributed to movement concepts and overall staging, translating their vision of creative freedom into physical expression.
The performance film's concept originated from a self-produced music video the members created during their trainee period. Working independently, they handled planning, filming, and editing for their original "GO!" project, which served as the foundation for this professional version. The distinctive intersection setting and spatial choreography directly evolved from their earlier creative work.
Martin, the 17-year-old Korean-Canadian leader, has production credits on major HYBE releases including ILLIT's "Magnetic," ENHYPEN's "Outside," and TXT's "Beautiful Strangers". James contributed choreography for multiple HYBE artists, including the viral "Magnetic" dance.
CORTIS marks BigHit Music's first new group since TXT debuted six years ago, positioning them as the label's next generation of artist-producers who actively shape their creative output from music composition to visual direction.
CORTIS will officially debut on August 18 at 6 p.m. KST with title track "What You Want," followed by an English version featuring Teezo Touchdown on August 22 at 1 p.m. KST. Their debut EP "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES" releases September 8 at 6 p.m. KST.
The group name CORTIS derives from "COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES," reflecting their approach to creative freedom and boundary-breaking artistry-evident in both their self-choreographed performance and collaborative content creation process.
